The quarter included what will likely be the largest IPO of the year, <\/span><b>Uber Technologies (UBER),<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which saw its <\/span><b>$8.1bn cash raise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> open $3.00 below the $45.00 issue price. <\/span><b>Aside from that offering, the second quarter was a banner three-month stretch.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ipoboutique.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-29-at-8.35.09-AM.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7875\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ipoboutique.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-29-at-8.35.09-AM-300x128.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"128\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ipoboutique.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-29-at-8.35.09-AM-300x128.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ipoboutique.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-29-at-8.35.09-AM-600x257.png 600w, https:\/\/www.ipoboutique.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-29-at-8.35.09-AM.png 748w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">19 of the 60 IPOs opened more than 30% above their issue price and many of them had <\/span><b>outsized aftermarket gains.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The \u201cwildest\u201d trader of them all was the <\/span><b>Beyond Meat Inc (BYND)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> offering which opened 84.0% above its $25.00 issue price but traded as high as $201.88 in its short time as a public company. Five other companies are currently trading more than 100% above their issue price (as of 7.5.19) which includes <\/span><b>Zoom Video (ZM), Turning Point Therapeutics (TPTX), Cortexyme (CRTX), Silk Road Medical (SILK) and Revolve Group (RVLV).<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ipoboutique.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-13-at-10.13.46-PM.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7717\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ipoboutique.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-13-at-10.13.46-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"138\" height=\"58\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>A total of 16 IPOs priced above their original ranges and 10 priced below range<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Five IPOs raised more than $1bn in cash including previously mentioned <\/span><b>Uber Technologies (UBER), TradeWeb Markets (TW), Pinterest Inc (PINS), Avantor Inc (AVTR) and Chewy Inc (CHWY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).
