Business<\/strong>:\u00a0They\u00a0operate in the United States under two principal brands, \u201cSpeedy Cash\u201d and \u201cRapid Cash,\u201d and launched their\u00a0new brand \u201cAvio Credit\u201d in the United States in the second quarter of 2017. In the United Kingdom they\u00a0operate online as \u201cWage Day Advance\u201d and \u201cJuo Loans\u201d and, prior to their closure in the third quarter of 2017, their\u00a0stores were branded \u201cSpeedy Cash.\u201d In Canada their\u00a0stores are branded \u201cCash Money\u201d and they\u00a0offer \u201cLendDirect\u201d installment loans online. The decrease in net income reflects the $12.5\u00a0million loss from the extinguishment of debt, due to the redemption of CURO Intermediate\u2019s 10.75% Senior Secured Notes due 2018 and their 12.00% Senior Cash Pay Notes due 2017. For year ended December\u00a031, 2016, a $7.0\u00a0million gain resulted from the Company\u2019s purchase of CURO Intermediate\u2019s 10.75% Senior Secured Notes in September 2016.<\/p>\n
