The headline for the financial markets this past week revolved around the ‘mania-stocks’… but the IPO felt the reverberations. In a week that had eight deals scheduled to debut, only two offerings opened above their issue price.\u00a0 Prior to this week, the IPO market had a perfect track record of positive debuts.<\/p>\n

The most heavily subscribed deals (and one’s we rated as a ‘4’ out of ‘5’ rating) both outperformed.<\/p>\n

Qualtrics International Inc (XM)<\/strong>\u00a0priced\u00a050.4mm shares at $30.00\u00a0($1 Above the upwardly-revised $27-$29 range) and\u00a0opened at $41.85 for a gain of 39.5%.\u00a0 XM hit a high of $48.31\u00a0<\/strong>in its second session before closing the week at $44.00 — squarely ahead of its opening print.<\/p>\n

Shoals Technology Group Inc (SHLS)\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>priced\u00a0<\/span>77.0mm shares\u00a0(upsized from 70.0mm)\u00a0at $25.00<\/span> ($2 above the upwardly-revised range) and\u00a0<\/span>opened at $31.30 for a gain of 25.2% at first trade. SHLS\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>traded higher in its opening week and closed Friday’s session at $33.93.<\/span><\/p>\n

There ended up being five deals that opened at or below their respective issue prices and one that was postponed.<\/p>\n

Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Holdings plc (OCDX)<\/strong>\u00a0priced\u00a076.0mm shares<\/strong>\u00a0(upsized from 70.0mm)\u00a0at $17.00<\/strong>\u00a0($3.00 below the prevailing $20-$23 range) and\u00a0opened at $15.50 for a loss of 8.82%<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vinci Partners Investments Ltd (VINP)\u00a0<\/strong>priced\u00a013.9mm shares at $18.00<\/strong>\u00a0 and\u00a0opened at $17.70 for a loss of 1.7% at first trade.<\/strong><\/p>\n

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd (ZIM)\u00a0<\/strong>priced\u00a014.5mm shares\u00a0(downsized from 17.5mm)\u00a0at $15.00\u00a0($1.00 below range) and\u00a0opened at $11.50 for a loss of 23.3%.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Home Point Capital Inc (HMPT)\u00a0<\/strong>priced\u00a07.25mm shares<\/strong>\u00a0(downsized from 12.5mm)\u00a0at $13.00<\/strong>\u00a0($6 below the $19-$21 range) and opened at $9.60 for a loss of 26.1% at first trade.<\/p>\n

Trinity Capital Inc (TRIN)\u00a0<\/strong>priced\u00a07.375mm shares at $14.00<\/strong>\u00a0(lower-half of range) and\u00a0opened at $14.00.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Southeastern Grocers, Inc. (SEGR)\u00a0<\/strong>did not price its offering. We are being told that the offering is\u00a0postponed due to market conditions<\/strong>. There is no further information available at this time.<\/div>\n

Looking ahead to this week, there are currently seven IPOs scheduled to debut this week, however, we are hearing as many as seven biotech IPOs could launch and debut next week.<\/p>\n
